FAU Department of Theatre and Dance Presents: |
| La Ronde by Arthur Schnitzeir | |
Date & Time: July 12th, 19th & 23rd
| Venue: Studio One | |
| BUY NOW | |
|
Tickets: $5 LA RONDE - "La Ronde", at first glance, can seem to the reader to be a play written about a specific time, the 1890s, about a certain place, Vienna, Austria, and for a specific reason, that being to puncture the strict Victorian class system and mindset of propriety with the needle of realistic sexual infidelity. However, when played upon a stage, it becomes very much more, a playful, naughty and yet meaningful reminder that, no matter when we live or who we are or how we strive to put barriers of status between us, we are all human and we all lust. Sex is not a vice, it is what unites us in humanity, and how we deal with the people whom we chose to engage in it with speaks volumes about us and the world in which we live.
